CTRND Researchers Highlight the Role of Protein Misfolding in ALS

In work supported by the ALS association, CTRND researchers have had a paper published in Acta Neuropathologica in which they shed light on a potential mechanism for the spread of ALS through the Central Nervous System.  This provides a potential target for the development of a gene therapy for the treatment of ALS.

CTRND Post-doctoral fellow Jacob Ayers, Ph.D. conducted the study under the direction of David Borchelt, Ph.D., a CTRND faculty member.
