Continuing the CTRND’s tradition of research excellence, Dr. Naruhiko Sahara has been honored as a recipient of a 2012 Thomas H Maren Junior Investigator award. Dr. Sahara’s research explores the underlying mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders, focusing on protein biochemistry and neurochemistry. Specifically, Dr. Sahara is investigating the underlying processes governing tau protein dysfunction aimed at the development of potential therapies.
