The Center for Translational Research in Neurodegenerative Disease (CTRND) welcomes John Koren, Ph.D., a new member of the Abisambra Laboratory. Dr. Koren, an expert in cellular quality control mechanisms and their dysfunction in neurologic disease, was recently awarded funding from the BrightFocus Foundation to support his work on the pathophysiology and biophysics of the tau protein in Alzheimer’s Disease.
