CTRND faculty member Dr. Yona Levites has a paper published in the April 22, 2015 edition of The Journal of Neuroscience.
Dr. Levites comments, “A study looking at anti-amyloid properties of a naturally occurring human monoclonal antibody. This is a first time we were able to demonstrate that an antibody cloned from a healthy individual’s memory B cells binds various non-homologous amyloids and prevents development of pathology in two amyloidogenic mouse models. It opens a potential to develop novel therapeutic strategies.”
